Made a roadtrip to the Harpersfield Covered Bridge on Saturday morning in the hopes of catching the sunrise over the bridge. Woke up early, but left a bit late. I managed to get there in plenty of time though. Got all set up and just had to wait on the sun. The sky was looking great with just a few clouds that started to color nicely. I looked over my shoulder and the alpenglow on the trees on the hill behind me was awesome. As I watched the sunlight go down the hill everything was looking perfect. About 10 minutes before the sun should have peaked over the bridge, a bank of clouds crept in and that was it. It was mostly cloudy the rest of my time there. I stayed for a couple of hours shooting the bridge from various angles and got quite a few nice shots. So, the trip wasn’t a total washout.
