What is your photography resolution for 2014?
My resolution is to shoot more often, but shoot fewer photographs. I would like to continue in my journey to get away from the “spray and pray” method, to making more publishable and deliberate photographs. I’ll still continue to shoot lots of snapshots when on vacation. But, when I find a scene worthy of publishing, I want to be more deliberate and get “The Shot” with fewer shutter clicks.
I also want to continue improving my monochrome photography. I signed up for the free mentorship project by Charles Lupica on Google+ called 256 Shades of Gray. I was also made a moderator for one of the groups. I’ll be looking forward to sharing my point of view of photography with the members of the group as well as learning from others.
I’m currently saving for new hardware for this year. At the moment, the things on my list are high quality neutral density filters to use for long exposure work. I’d also like to get a new lens, but do not expect that to be in the budget for this year.
